Strawberry Bliss

The children love pineapple and strawberries. So we combined the two in tis smoothie.

Ingredients:

1 large ripe banana

3 frozen strawberries

1 slice fresh pineapple or 1/4 cup canned pineapple in own juice

1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 cup iced water.

Method:

Process all ingredients until completely smooth. I prefer to add the banana to the blender first as this seems to help ensure that it gets completely broken down.

Fruity Fusion Shot

Yesterday we went to a vegan restaurant. My husband ended up being the only one who got something to eat, but we did get smoothies. A fruity fusion! Yum!

Here’s my shot of this fabulous smoothie.

Now for me to make my own version of this drink tonight. Going to send my husband for ingredients this evening.

Power Punch

2 cups almond or coconut milk, chilled

1 frozen banana

1 tsp flax seed powder

1 tbsp peanut butter

2 tbsp rolled oats, make sure it says gluten free

If you are not using sweetened almond milk, add 1 tbsp honey

Method:

Add 1/2 milk and remaining ingredients to a blender and process until smooth. Add remaining milk and process.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

1/4 cup frozen pumpkin puree

1/2 cup vanilla almond milk ( I used Silk), frozen in cubes

1/2 cup almond milk chilled

1 ripe banana, frozen

pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Garnish with homemade chocolate sauce and pinch of cinnamon.

Chocolate Coconut Milk

My husband got the family hooked on chocolate almond milk. Well, he ran out to the store to get some and NONE! We were seriously disappointed.

But to our delight, there were dry coconuts, sugar and cocoa in the house. So down the coconut was thrown ( no hammer in the house and to be honest I did need the water so this way is so much quicker), out came the blender, the cheese cloth, cocoa and the sugar.

Blend, blend, blend.

Strain, strain, strain.

Whisk, whisk, whisk.

Mix, mix, mix.

voila!

Ingredients:

1dry coconut

Water

3 tsp cocoa powder

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp spice

Method:

Crack coconut and remove meat from shell. Blend with sufficient water and strain.

Put 3 cups coconut milk in a saucepan and whisk in cocoa powder. Add sugar and allow mixture to boil. Adjust sugar and cocoa if necessary but I prefer not too bitter chocolate.

Exotic Strawberry Smoothie

My son blended this smoothie for us yesterday morning

1 cup Passion fruit juice (I used Ceres)

1 ripe banana

5 frozen strawberries

1/2 cup watermelon

Method:

Toss all ingredients into a blender and process.

You can also freeze all the ingredients except the juice

Oh yeah, he also took the pictures too.
