This was what the children ate for snack last Monday
– coconut ice cream
– carrot cake
– sliced banana
I made some garbanzo paste this morning for breakfast.
1 cupped cooked garbanzos
1 tsp salt or salt to taste
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (skip if you don’t mind a paler collet)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/4 tsp lime juice
Add all ingredients except lime and nutritional yeast to the blender. If using a blender that is not high powered then you will need to occasionaly scrpe down the sides and add water, 1 tbsp at a time.
when smoothe, add yeast and lime juice and process to mix it in completely or you could stir it in.
Serve with crackers or on sandwiches.
Just now I was tucking my daughter in and telling her a story. I told her, “Mary’s tummy was ver, very big because something special was in there! A baby was in there! Mary was pregnant and a little baby boy was in her belly” To which she said, “Her belly was big like yours! Mommy you pregnant!”😱
So with that, I know I need to exercise and work on NOT looking like I am still pregnant. 2 years! 2 years and still this thing in front of me refuses to go down! I have a legitimate excuse I think but it still annoys me that it is so big.
Anyway, soon it will be time for a new 30 Day Health Challenge- the one that was postponed from way up in the year!
look out for it in November since I have to get planning the activities.
My children love theses quick bites. We made some today for our morning snack. Simple, quick, delicious and no cooking!
– 1 cup all natural peanut butter (make sure it is gluten free)
– 1 cup quick cooking gluten free oats
– raisins (shhh. I’m actually not a fan of raisins at all but I know they are good so I try to eat a few here and there)
– 1 tbsp linseed powder (flax meal)
Mix peanut butter, flax meals and raisins together with 1 tbsp oats. Pour remaining oats onto a plate. Spoon a small amount of peanut butter mixture onto the plate of oats and roll them into a ball, pressing to adhere more oats to the ball. Repeat until all the mixture is gone.
