30 Day Health Challenge

So I was talking to someone a few hours ago and the idea came to me to do a health challenge. So we brainstormed, bounced some things off of my husband and we finally decided on what we were going to do. These things are mostly simple, everyday things that we might overlook, but are really important things in maintaining a healthy body.

I am so excited to begin!

Here are the instructions:

30 Day Health Challenge Guidelines

This 30 Day Health Challenge will begin on 30 January 2013 and end 28 February 2013.

This Health Challenge has 10 “tasks” that must be achieved within the 30 days. Each task will last for 3 days before the next task begins. This health challenge is progressive, which means that you continue to do the previous task, while adding a new task every 3 days


1) Drink at least 8 glasses of water- 30 Jan

2) Exercise for at least 30 minutes during the day- 2 Feb 

3) Brush and floss teeth at least 2 times a day- 5 Feb

4) Eat a salad, raw or steamed vegetables- 8 Feb

5) Eat at least 2 different kinds of fruit- 11 Feb

6) Do not add any sugar to anything you are consuming- 14 Feb

7) Do something outside in nature- 17 Feb

8) Do not eat any English/ white potatoes or wheat- 20 Feb

9) Get out in the fresh air before 6 a.m. **Some people might have a problem with how early it is but it is so that we can get out in fresh air before the hustle and bustle starts. What ever is a good, safe time for you to go out early would work fine.

9) Get up early around 6 a.m. and take the time to take a shower and eat a nice un-rushed breakfast. This might help us start the day in a calmer, less stressful way. 23 Feb     

**10) Give yourself a manicure, pedicure and facial using natural (or mostly natural) products. Each one of these can be done on a separate day i.e the manicure on Tuesday, the pedicure on Wednesday and the facial on Thursday. 26 Feb

  1. This looks great. I’m excited to start; it’s a shame January 30 is still pretty far away! Are you going to do a countdown to keep me psyched?! Haha!

    • Oh thanks for the info about flossing. I can definitely send you a weekly update if you need or you can just follow the blog as I will be doing updates. I’ll post a task log soon- probably in 2 days. It will have tips and the dates for the tasks.
