8 steps to being healthy

Being healthy does not just mean eating right or exercising. These are just two of the things needed to maintain a healthy body and mind. However there are 8 things that are needed to maintain overall health. This is captured by the acronym NEWSTART.

N– nutrition

E– exercise

W– water

S– sunlight

T– temperance

A– air (fresh, clean)

R– rest

T– trust in God (for those who do not believe in God, this one is about having a positive attitude. However I believe that this can only truly come from God.)

By understanding and following these principles we are more able to achieve the overall health that we desire.

Being healthy is not just what we eat or what we do, but it affects all aspects of our life. Look out for more information about each of these 8 principles needed for health.
